Research assistant (f/m/d) – Part Time (18 hours/week),

RResearch in the Psychology Department at Webster Vienna focuses on Applied Cognitive and Affective Sciences and aims at understanding cognitive and emotional processes involved in decision-making and social interactions. Our research facilities include physiological recording devices (ECG, GSR, EMG, EEG, etc.) and various stimuli presentation software, as well as an observation laboratory for behavior measurement and analysis.

Key responsibilities:
Within the remit of a project funded by the FWF, the Psychology Department at Webster Vienna Private University is currently recruiting a research assistant to work on behavioral and physiological indicators of attitudes, prejudice, and discrimination. The project involves running a laboratory experiment involving computer-mediated interaction. The main tasks of the research assistant are: to recruit participants to the experiment; to collect, organize, and process multi-level data (observational, cognitive, and physiological); to run statistical analysis; and to prepare scientific publications.

Required skills and qualifications:
• A completed Bachelor or Master degree in Psychology with a focus on Experimental Psychology and/or Psychophysiology;
• Experience with experimental designs;
• Fluency in English and German;
• Good knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics;
• Data skills (R, SPSS, Excel, Python, ...);
• Positive attitude towards laboratory research and willingness to work in an international environment.

• Experience with behavioral annotation software (e.g. Anvil, Elan, Observer XT).

The annual gross compensation for this position amounts to 15.680 EUR (18 hours/week). The monthly gross salary amounts to EUR 1120.- (18 hours/week), 14 times/year.
